As I recently pointed out, I’ve been working hard to find more talented people to join Team Kasabi. One of the key roles we’ve had open for a while is “Data Engineer”. We’re working with a lot of different datasets in a lot of different domains and need help to ramp up the volume of data we’re publishing as well as ensuring that our various data processing tools are well orchestrated. It’s the kind of job that needs a love of data, attention to detail, experience with a wide range of technologies, and, above all, a pragmatic approach.
It’s taken a while to find someone with the right mix of experience but I’m very happy to announce that starting next week William Waites will be joining the team as our Data Engineer. William has been actively involved in the open data and semantic web communities for some time. He has contributed to data.gov.uk and numerous projects at the Open Knowledge Foundation, including Semantic CKAN. I’m looking forward to working with William to ramp up our data conversion and publishing efforts.
We’re still in the process of recruiting a Commercial Lead, so if you want to come help us develop the commercial aspects of the web of data, then get in touch!
